SUN SAFETY for Summer 2010

Don't be afraid of the sun this summer, instead of laying in the sun to fry. Why not opt to use self tanning lotions or a great sunscreen. They are great for the skin, they provide SPF and you avoid the feeling of burn after you've been in the sun for a couple hours. Take care of your skin and she will take care of you. TINTED MOISTURIZERS

If you are like me that in the summer time I enjoy feeling my skin hydrated but covered you will definitely love these tinted moisturizers out there.

So the fun part is that these products are so amazing they are 2 in 1. They hydrate your skin while at the same time providing a tiny bit of color to ensure you carry yourself with an even skin tone wherever you go to. So I have 3 products that I would like to recommend for you. One of them is my favorite because not only does it have tint and moisturizer but it also provides you with a luminescent glow. For the most part all tinted moisturizers will have SPF, super important to buy products that have SPF 15 or higher. Enjoy.

Cheek Tints & Creams... Some of my Favorite!

This summer what we want to accomplish is a flawless skin full of radiance and luminosity. So what better than using tints and creams rather than our normal powder blushes. When u use a liquid/creamy base for a blush your skin looks even more hydrated. In the summer the look is mostly shimmery and vivid, not matte.

Primers what to use....

How many of us use a face primer after our moisturizer but before our foundation? Whoever does us face primer knows how amazing the skin feels right after you apply it right? So here I am again recommending some great products for any budget. Always remember BEAUTY does not have to be expensive... Here are my favorite face primers.

Shall we start with L'oreal

L'OREAL just came out with a line of amazing products that are called Studio Secrets Professional Perfecting base and Studio Secrets Professional Color Correcting Primers. I previously talked about the Studio Finish Perfecting base, and the reasons why we should have that product in our makeup drawers. So now what's next...

Summer days in Paradise...

Have you been dreaming about being in this beach......?? Tahiti the largest island in French Polynesia. Luxurious, secluded and a perfect romantic getaway.






Or maybe in these one?... The Maldive islands are part of the Indian Ocean. Pretty impressive to be there. Also a great place to relax, have a honey moon or maybe write a book. Who knows. How about snorkeling in clear blue waters. ?






If you are planning a trip to the beach... whether it's a luxurious trip or a road trip to the beach. Make sure your makeup bag has two main products! A sunblock of SPF 30 or higher, as well as an after sun gel. Be prepare just in case we get a little over exposed to the sun. Here are some recommendations.

Neutrogena Ultra Sheer Day-Touch Sunblock ($11.99) is great and it has SPF 45 (SPF-Sun Protector Factor). Clarins Creme Solaire Securite Haute Protection ($32) is another great choice if you want to spend a bit more money.


AFTER....Wow some of us just turn brown instantly but some of us turn bright red. Whatever the case is it burns right? So either of these products really work... Clinique After Sun ($20) promotes a soothing feeling. Korres Yoghurt Cooling Gel ($23) moisturizes instantly due to the yoghurt benefits and it is ultra cooling.

What would we do without moisturizers? They are just a MUST have in every lady's makeup room. They are essential to keeping us young, revived, illuminated and most important a perfect base for makeup. There is millions of different moisturizers out there but, here are a couple of my favorite. They vary in prices so everyone can stay young at any price.

Aveeno Positively Radiant. This one is great because not only does it nourish your skin but it gives you an instant radiant look. Works great in people that have sensitive skin. The cost is $14.97 at Walmart.

• Oil of Olay 7 effects. This moisturizers provides the 7 signs of aging, it helps with age lines, nourishing the skin, pores and toning.The cost is $ 21.99
  
  

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Moisturizer SPF 15. Not greasy at all, lightweight but effective and it is easily absorbed. Natural key ingredients Squalane, Vitamin A and Octinoxate. The cost $19 - $50 depends on the size.



Mary Kay Time Wise Age Fighting Moisturizer. Provides 10 hours of hydration and it's formula has been made to accelerate the skins natural renewal. The cost $ 22.



Clinique's Dramatically Different Lotion. This lotion helps maintain the perfect balance of your skin. So no matter what type of skin you have you could use this moisturizer to help you cope with any concerns you may have about your skin. The cost $24.



Fresh Soy Face Cream. It is a light weigh lotion that renews and moisturizes skin. It is made of natural ingredients such as soy, cucumber extract, rose water and jojoba seed oils. The cost $38.00



Clarins Creme Douceru Jour. Moisturizes and softens skin for a more even complexion and to improve the appearance of sensitive skin. The Cost $59

Natura Biss The Cure Detoxifying Restorative Moisturizer. Design to counteract skin damage,provides balance and all day hydration, promotes clear skin and a radiant complexion. This moisturizer is recommended to treat aging mainly, so is you still have a young skin you can wait a couple years. The cost $200

Nars 2010 Summer Collection

Like we had talked before this summer it's all about balancing color. Maybe some bright blue shadows with a natural sun kissed complexion and even your nails play a part. OR sun kissed complexion with orange lipstick . You mix and match the colors... i'm here to give you the ideas.

1. LAMU the multiple. All over product created a shimmering and glowing complexion, the new color is Glazed-apricot.($38)
2. Duo Eyeshadow. Color is Burn it blue. This is an iridescent ocean blue paired with a turquoise. ($32)
   
3. Love devotion lipstick. Satin finish, long lasting color resembles sheer guava. ($24)
   
4. Nail Polish. Versailles sheer gold has added UV protection. Design to be long lasting. ($16)

Old Hollywood Look...

It's just great to have beautiful friends...

Today will be focusing on a specific look. Old Hollywood. What better than this look, classy, fashionable, admirable, beautiful, no need for extreme makeup or hair style. It is just soft and perfect for a day where you are feeling sultry, young, and in other words feeling fabulous.

So let me introduce you to Alice. Brazilian beautiful young girls who will be our model today. I know damn those Brazilians. Why do they all have to look like models?? jaja just kidding Gator, you know we love you. Okay so the products I recommend for this look are the following.

• Prep your face by washing it, and apply a moisturizer when face is still damp.

• Apply the Smashbox Primer ($42) on the entire face. If your face is too dry you may be fine without primer.

• Mix the Chanel Matte Lumiere liquid foundation ($45) with a pea size amount of the new orgasm liquid illumination highlighter ($29). Mix well then apply all over the face. This will give you a natural glow.

• Follow by applying the Maybelline Mineral Powder Natural Perfecting concealer ($7.99) anywhere you like and wherever is needed. I use this concealer and I happen to love it. It is very light gives you a flawless look and it stays all day.

• For the cheeks the Cargo blush in color ROME ($26) would give you a perfect color to make your cheeks pop. To mattify your look use a mineralizing powder like Mac Mineralize Skin Finish Natural ($26) to give a matte finish. Also for highlighting you could use the Mac Mineralize Skinfinish($28), great highlighter.

• EYES, obviously we are going to be using false eyelashes. Sephora's lashes are perfect ($8.00), the eyeliner use the Jet set waterproof eyeliner from Smashbox ($22), and for the soft smokey eye use the Benefit Sexy eye and brow makeover kit ($36). Three in one deal.
  

• As for the lips Kat Von D Painted Love Lipstick ($18) in hellbent (bloodstain) color. It is amazing has a creamy texture and it just looks fabulous for a Hollywood look.
